Solid beer selection. Salad was great, chili was hot but otherwise bland. Solid burger. Nice vibe for talking

We often come to The Globe.Sunday from 4 to 7 local musicians play Irish music, and it's awesome. A great vibe. Enjoy the food. Love sitting by the fireplace during ChristmasGreat place to cone to just raise a pint....or in my case, a glass of wine!.

Was relaxing and chill at that time.

Cool bar, wish they had a tv for Saturday football games, but that's probably on purpose.

The Globe is my favorite pub in downtown Athens. True to its name, there are lots of language practice groups, and there's even an Irish session on Sundays. It's also a good place to go if you want to meet more grad students than undergrads.

I've been here several times. I always like it here. I've had burgers, sandwiches and chili. I LUV the chili. Spiced just right...5 Stars!

Cool vibe, especially during winter. The fireplace and alcohol to warm your spirits make this a great hangout. We were there on a cold rainy night and still felt toasty.

Great fried chicken meatloaf vegetables the best. Beer is always good. Laid-back atmosphere is always a pleasant alternative. ( No TV )

Wasn't my fav. I like to try new things, especially in the form of alcohol and the bartenders were pretty rude and not very welcoming.

I'm really getting frustrated with the soup choices (they always run out of the good stuff way to soon, especially white bean and muligatawny! And bring back carrot ginger!) not a big chili or tomato soup fan which they have way too frequently, but the cheese plate and steak frite are amazing so I keep going back.

My first visit was memorable. I ordered the fish that was not cooked well and tasted terrible. The service was good though. The cost of the food was reasonable. Maybe i should have ordered the burger.

Nice for people who don't like loud obnoxious bars

Words cannot explain the void left in my heart since this place closed. I work right next door, and before the pandemic shut them down, we would get lunch here at least 3 times a week lol. Eventually the bartenders started bringing our drinks over to our shop for us, so I wouldn’t have to carry it all back by myself. Truly the kindest staff and their food has never let me down. It’s my favorite place to take my parents out for a drink when they come into town because even though I don’t drink, I know I’ll get a damn good cup of chili. I never really get tired of eating there, because there’s good variety on the menu.

My husband and I came here on a Saturday night and we were seated right away, which was nice. Service was okay. I don’t think my drink was ever refilled. The fish and chips was really good!! The prices were a little high for what you get and compared to the dining experience. Great local place to hang out though.

A very neat place to go. I always visit the Globe when I'm in Athens. However count on waiting a bit for food, it's a very relaxed place where no one's in a big hurry. Just sort of a great place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.

Cozy atmosphere with plenty of beers on tap and in bottles, plus wine and scotch. Good food. The music is not too loud. It all makes for a pleasant experience.

We played a show at the theatre across the street and were delighted to stumble into perhaps the best pub in North America. Footy (soccer) on a projector upstairs; airy, European feel downstairs, $1 beers and a great selection of booze served by people who understand how important booze is. Highly recommend. I pine after this place when in vastly inferior PH’s.

Did not enjoy this place at all. Service was awful and we came at a slow time! Food was not good and our order was wrong and they refused to fix it. The bathroom is absolutely horrendous. Wouldn’t recommend going.

Love this place. Usually quiet and good draft beer selection. They make killer cocktails and Moscow mules.This is our go to for a Friday night

The Globe is very unique compared to many places in Athens. The vibe here is very nice and warm. A must visit for meal while in town! They have a live Irish group that plays on Sundays worth seeing!

The burgers are homemade and there is a huge variety of beers. Nice atmosphere and very casual.

To me, a grilled cheese sandwich is an indicator of a restaurants dedication to making everything delicious. If it sucks, you know the cooks don't care. The Globe has the best grilled cheese + tomato soup in Athens

Been going to The Globe for years. Best pub.

Fun place that truly feels like an English pub. I like that there are no TVs to distract from good beer, wine, and conversation.

This place is in an old building. It was super nice, but lots of character. I did think the restroom could use a redo/update. Food was reasonable. It wasn't out of this world delish, but it was good. Service was pretty good. It was quick even though they were busy. Of course, the place appears that it would be a fun place and the bar is pretty big. I guess there was a movie filmed here. I have got to check that out.

Quaint little place but had a good hamburger and a Guinness.

Ordered kobe burger it was good but just a bit over cooked for med rare. But still good. Rob Roy was good

We love the Celtic Music session and head to Athens for it literally whenever we can. Globe keeps us coming back to Athens long after we've moved. And even tho it's a pub, they're really family friendly and we have never felt unwelcome with the little one <3

Best food and drinks ever! We visit here at least twice a month. Twin pine burgers and the steak salad are so good! Never had anything bad here. Also, they have the best appletini.

Drove up from ATL for a Georgia football game. Globe nice Worth a visit. Great selection of whiskey and scotch.

This is an amazing place to eat and hang with friends. Really good food and great service. The fish and chips and bangers and mash were really good.

Food, atmosphere, drinks, overall vibe are fine, but I'd advise either paying with cash only or keeping track of your card receipts. Found out (the hard way) the bartenders might write down your card information and use to it charge other people sitting at your table without your consent even after you've closed out and left. Hopefully, this is just an individual case of one bartender who wanted the tips at the table before they ended their shift and did something stupid to make it happen. Still, not ok. I'll only be using cash if I decide come here again.
